r.k. Miles, Inc., an LMC member since 2006 and a third generation family-owned business, was awarded the 2020 University of Vermont (UVM) Grossman School of Business Multi-Generation Family Business Award this past October.
The UVM Grossman School of Business Family Business Awards recognize family-owned UVM alumni businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to creating sustainable practices through leadership and innovation. An independent panel of judges, comprised of past winners, UVM alumni, and local business owners, select winners based on four criteria: financial success; governance structures; contributions to the community and industry; and sustainable, innovative business practices or strategies.

r.k. Miles has ten locations across the New England region and joins an elite group of 33 other businesses that have been presented with a UVM Grossman School of Business Family Business Award. The organization received the award during the 9th annual awards ceremony, held virtually this year due to the global pandemic.
