In 1924, the company gained noterity by providing 322,000 feet of mill cut lumber by boat for the Giant Dipper rollercoaster on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The ride was one of the first of its kind on the West Coast. It is still in operation today and has even been featured in several major motion pictures.
"Our employees are guided by the company-wide core values of honesty and integrity and love working for a company that believes 'The right people, given the right resources and freedom, will achieve greatness,'" the company said in a press release.
One of the highlights of the anniversary celebration was CEO Bill Hayward's speech and cutting the cake with a chainsaw!
