The Holiday season is right around the corner! As Americans across the country begin to string lights, decorate Christmas trees, and place candles in the window, Hammond Lumber Company wants to use these holiday traditions to bring light to a non-profit organization.

Hammond Lumber Company has partnered with Wreaths Across America once again. Wreaths Across America was founded in 1992 by Morrill Worcester of Worcester Wreath Company. That holiday season resulted in a surplus of extra wreaths; Worcester donated the wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery to lay in front of each headstone. Since that Christmas, the tradition was born and in 2021, 2.4 million wreaths were placed across the country at military cemeteries.

Hammond Lumber Company will begin its six-week fundraising event on Friday, November 11th. On their website, there will be wreath-sponsorship donations. All online donations will be used to purchase wraths to commemorate National Wreaths Across America Day, December 17, 2022. Wreaths can donate “in honor of” a living veteran or “in memory of” for those who have passed.
