Davis Hawn Lumber Company recently marked a century of service to the Dallas area. The 100^th anniversary celebration proved that everything is bigger in Texas! Davis Hawn invited members from Team LMC to help commemorate the occasion. Fred Nau, LMC’s Purchasing Manager of the Commodity Building Materials Department provides a glimpse into the exciting event.

The celebration, held on Cinco de Mayo, exuded a lively, upbeat, and festive ambiance. To coincide with the holiday, Davis Hawn embraced a Cinco de Mayo theme, complete with a delicious Mexican themed lunch, décor, and a Mariachi band. Guests were treated to fantastic giveaways and prizes, but the highlight of the event was undoubtedly networking and connecting with Davis-Hawn's staff. The results of 100 years of building relationships were a wonderful event to witness. The local community, suppliers, customers, and Davis Hawn staff all came together to enjoy this festive day.

Fred had the opportunity to tour Davis Hawn’s Architectural Millwork location. Here, an experienced team creates custom window sashes, stile and rail doors, custom moldings and much more.

“I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the Davis Hawn team. I toured their lumberyard and retail store, as well as their Millwork Facility. The tour of their Architectural Millwork Facility was simply remarkable. The level of detail that goes into that type of product is unbelievable and only achieved by the “old world craftmanship” methodology employed by Davis Hawn.”
