Davis-Hawn Lumber Announces Celebration for their Centennial Year
Davis-Hawn Lumber, a family-owned company, celebrates their 100th anniversary this year starting with a Cinco de Mayo themed lunch on May 5th from 11am-2pm. The anniversary lunch will include themed food, beverages, and entertainment and is being held at the original Davis-Hawn Lumber location at 1941 S Beckley Ave.
Dallas, TX 75224.

What do the popular Yellowstone prequel and Davis-Hawn Lumber have in common? Both date their origin story to 1923. Wirt Davis started the lumberyard to serve the growing Oak Cliff area. In the 1950s, Joe Verne Hawn joined as co-owner and the Davis-Hawn name was coined. Fast forward to 1999 and Dave Reichert, a local corporate lawyer, seized the opportunity to embark into the new century taking on the entrepreneurial life of a lumberyard owner. Reichert transformed the local lumber yard into a family of related businesses – all with enduring legacies – including Architectural Carpentry Materials (1973), Lynn Floyd Architectural Millwork (1978), and Davis-Hawn Architectural Millworks (2009).

Now, the family of businesses has a new overarching brand: Reichert Woodworks. “Since our founding, Davis-Hawn Lumber has served as a trusted partner to the finest architects, builders, and remodelers in Dallas and as a resource to our local Oak Cliff community. We look forward to the next 100 years of service and partnership to Dallas through our family of companies.”

Davis-Hawn welcomes its centennial year in business as it blazes a new trail for the next 100 years. Davis-Hawn looks forward to having a celebration with their customers, partners, and local supporters starting on May 5th.
