On September 15th at Farr's Field in Waterbury Conneticut, Burnie Allen, Stockholder of Allen Lumber was honored by the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce at their postponed "St. Patrick's Day Breakfast Roast."
Each year the Chamber honors someone who has been a key supporter of their community.
A native Vermonter, Burnie was born to Robert and Sylvia Allen in 1952. Forty seven years ago, Burnie married Debbie Nelson and had three sons, Lance, Todd and Gregg. The success of Allen Lumber has been shared with his four brothers, Gary, Paul, Tom and Steven, along with his two sons Lance and Todd. Burnie has served on numerous boards - Town of Barre Recreation, Country Club of Barre, LMC, Mutuo, as well as Barre Area
Development, to name a few. He is a past member of the Barre Rotary Club and Kiwanis Club. He served 7 years as a Little League Coach and 13 years as a BYSA Basketball Coach. His passion is to take long walks on the beach in Maine. Learn more about Allen Lumber an LMC Dealer since 1956!
