Hegeman currently serves on the BLD Connection Wisconsin Board of Directors, holding the positions of Director, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of the Board. In addition to his involvement with BLD Connection, he has also served as Vice President of the Milwaukee German Immersion Foundation, showcasing his dedication to community leadership. His industry expertise and commitment to service will be instrumental in his new role, representing BLD Connection within the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA).
Greg Smith, joins with 47 years of experience in the lumber and building material industry, including 41 years specifically in retail, Smith brings an unmatched depth of knowledge and experience to his new role.
Smith has previously served on the BLD Connection Mid-America board as the Arkansas Committee Representative, Chairman, and MLA Representative to the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA). His decades of dedication to the industry and his leadership roles within BLD Connection demonstrate his commitment to advancing the interests of lumber and building material dealers.
Outside of his professional life, Smith enjoys duck hunting and supporting Arkansas Razorbacks football.
Luke Guittar, joins with over 25 years of leadership experience in the lumber and building material industry, Guittar brings a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to supporting independent retail lumber yards and suppliers across the Midwest. His active participation in annual trade shows and event sponsorships has demonstrated his dedication to the growth and success of the association.
Guittar’s extensive industry expertise, coupled with his strong relationships within the community, will serve as a valuable asset to BLD Connection and its members. Outside of his professional life, Guittar enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities, while also engaging in local church and community events.
Scott Enter, joins 36 years of experience in the retail lumber industry, Enter brings a lifetime of expertise in both wholesale and retail operations.
Enter has been deeply involved in both his industry and community. In addition to serving as a board director and most recently as 1st Vice Chairman of the BLD Connection Board, he was Chairman of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2011 and served on the Buffalo City Council from 2010 to 2022. He is also an active member of the Classic Roundtable group and regularly participates in association events.
Outside of work, Enter enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Wade Fenske, brings extensive leadership experience to the board, backed by his long-standing commitment to the building materials industry and his deep involvement in regional associations.
Fenske previously served as a board member for six years with the Lake Region Builders Association (LRBA) and two years with the Builders Association of Minnesota (BAM). He is also actively involved with the Rochester, MN Chamber of Commerce, where he sponsors the annual golf tournament and participates in the Chamber Champions League. In addition, Fenske is a member of the Rochester Area Builders Association and the Winona Builders Association, further solidifying his dedication to the growth and success of the industry.
Outside of his professional contributions, Fenske enjoys golfing, traveling, and woodworking.
BLD Connection is a leading regional trade association representing building material dealers and suppliers in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Upper Michigan, and Wisconsin. BLD Connection exists to advance the building material and lumber industry in the Midwest and strengthen its members through education, networking, advocacy, and resources.
