Rooted in the original coming together during the Great Depression, LMC has a strong camaraderie that has extended through the years. LMC started with just thirty-five independent lumber dealers in 1935, Building Business Together. Today LMC is made up of family and employee owned operations from coast to coast including the Bahamas and Hawaii. LMC is proud to be a strong force in the building material industry for over seventy five years.
The top independent dealers in the country share many of the same characteristics: Knowledgeable, strong supporter in the community, and very passionate about their industry. These are the lumber and building material dealers who work with LMC's professional staff and leading suppliers & mills to stay on top of trends and ahead of market conditions. Together with LMC, dealers collaborate and make purchasing decisions that have the ability to move the market. With over 1,200 locations nationwide, the collective power of LMC dealers is well respected and recognized as leaders in the LBM industry.
