Applications Support Analyst

The Applications Support Analyst is responsible for technical support, documentation and testing for multiple LMC applications, including LumberTrack, CRM and SharePoint.  The Applications Support Analyst will work with IT and internal stakeholder groups to resolve system issues and implement system upgrades and enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide first level support for production applications, escalating issues as appropriate and logging incidents
  • Work with internal partners and application vendors to resolve reported issues.
  • Tracking and communicating the status of outstanding application issues to all necessary parties.
  • Coordinates the deployment of system releases/upgrades
  • QA testing of new and existing applications; building of test plans, test cases and test scripts
  • Providing documentation on all supported systems
  • Lead informal/impromptu training sessions and internal user groups
  • Assess problems with applications and address areas of concern
  • Ensure consistent day-to-day maintenance of applications
  • Regularly evaluate  the current state of applications and identify aspects that can be improved upon
  • Maintain detailed records of application performance for analysis
  • Research, analyze and recommend improvements to the organization’s use of the software applications
  • Train new staff for on-boarding procedures as well as general staff on new applications and changes to existing applications
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • 3+ years of work experience in an IT application support role required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Strong experience in the following systems (preferred):  LumberTrack, SharePoint, CRM systems, SQL Management Studio, ticketing systems
  • Firm Grasp of Structured Query Language (SQL), ability to write SQL queries
  • Advanced skills in configuring and supporting software applications
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and determine solutions to application issues
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Up-to-date knowledge of scripting, coding and application software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office 2016 suite
  • Willing to work on occasional weekends and/or after hours (as needed)
