LMC Dealers Leading the Way at NLBMDA
The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) met recently in Savannah where the board of directors introduced a new leadership team headed by Chuck Bankston, president of Bankston Lumber in Barnesville, GA. (LMC Dealer Since 1996) During the Installation dinner of the ProDealer Industry Summit, Bankston was named chair and the gavel was passed from outgoing chair Cally Coleman Fromme, executive VP of Zarsky Lumber Co.(LMC Dealer Since 1992).
Cally Fromme is the first woman to serve as an NLBMDA chair. In her remarks about her family's long history in Texas and her service in the industry she said: “We stick around because we love it. We can’t help it.”
Incoming chair Chuck Bankston commented on his family's long history in the industry, he is fourth generation. He remarked: “My dad never pushed me into getting back into the family business,” Bankston. “He always let me make my decisions on my own. [But] he instilled in me conservative core values that drive everything I do today.”

• Federated Association executives chair: Paula Siewert, Northwestern Lumber Association, Minneapolis
